The Veteran’s Association of North County (VANC) will be hosting an event Friday for Veteran’s Day at which it will receive a $30,000 donation from AT&T, according to a press release from AT&T.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Veterans Association of North County (1617 Mission Avenue, Oceanside).
Local veterans, Assembly member Rocky Chávez, Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood and other officials are expected to attend.
The AT&T donation will support the association’s efforts in serving active duty military personnel, veterans and their families. An AT&T executive also will discuss how members of the Oceanside community can show their gratitude for veterans through AT&T’s new #ThankOurHeroes campaign.
The contribution to VANC is part of a $400,000 contribution from AT&T supporting veterans’ organizations across the country this November.
