The Coastal Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $36,833 to fund arts and sciences programming in North County coastal public schools, according to a press release from the Foundation.
Fourth-through-eighth-grade teachers submitted applications requesting support to the EdVentures Fund.
The Foundation has partnered with the Birch Aquarium, the Intrepid Theatre Company, the Lux Art Institute and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center to deliver onsite programming for the schools in arts and sciences that meet teachers’ curricular needs.
Funds were awarded for the following districts: Cardiff School District, $2,542; Carlsbad Unified School District, $8,522; Del Mar school district, $4,837; Encinitas Union School District, $4,371; Oceanside Unified School District, $12,026; San Dieguito Union High School District, $2,000; and Solana Beach School District, $2,535.
